Gloria Ramos Rivera, MD

Dr. Gloria Ramos Rivera is certified by the Board of American Pathology in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and cytopathology. She completed her bachelor degree in Industrial Microbiology at UPR Mayagüez campus and worked at the biopharmaceutical industry for five years while studying a master degree in environmental management at UMET. After that she studied medicine at Ponce School of Medicine followed by residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Bronx, NY and a fellowship in cytopathology at the same institution. Dr. Ramos currently works for the School of Medicine of the UPR medical sciences campus as an assistant professor, pathologist and Laboratory Director, Anatomic & Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Services, Hospital UPR Dr. Federico Trilla. She also works part-time at the Veterans Hospital as a cytopathologist. Her work days are very diverse and dedicates most of her time to teaching, specially to pathology residents from the medical sciences campus.
